2009 - Star Island, Isles of Shoals, NH: Geology of Star Island. Among the few exposed bedrock highs between Cape Ann, MA and Portland, ME. Dominated by granitic gneisses having undergone multiple stages of deformation, with mylonitic and other shear features.
