Adjunct Faculty, Geomorphology
Antioch University New England, Keene, NH

Antioch University New England invites applications for a Spring '09 Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Environmental Studies to teach Geomorphology, one of our regular spring offerings in the Biosphere Science curriculum.

This course provides a conceptual background for evaluating surficial and bedrock geology and practical experience in specific laboratory and field skills needed to understand the development of landforms and the environmental implications of processes that shape the landscape. Emphasis is placed on map interpretation and field identification of geomorphic features, especially as they occur in New England. A central focus relates landform characteristics and geomorphic processes to a variety of resource management issues

Candidates with an appropriate disciplinary background and a high level of comfort with teaching through creative, progressive, and applied approaches are encouraged to apply (Masters degree required).

Application deadline is 1 December 2009 for spring semester. Applicants will be reviewed upon receipt, and the search will continue until the position is filled. Applicants should send a statement of interest, a curriculum vitae, and the names of two references to: James Jordan (with “Geomorphology” in the subject line).
